This project for my husband Peter Serocki was waiting over 3 years, I think… In Polish we are saying: “szewc bez butów chodzi” what I can translate as “the shoemaker’s children are ill-shod”. It simply means, that if you are photographer or graphic designer and you are providing service for people, you have not too much time for service for you… And that’s true. We all know it, right? Clients always first with work-need-to-be-done (and always for yesterday ;)
But after 3 years – voila! Project for PeterSerocki.com is in 75% done! I need to add few more galleries and try to convince Peter to be back to food blogging ;) For now we have what we have and I like this website. CLEAN and LIGHT – my favorite combination. So, enjoy :)
Every card with Uptown’s picture will get this sticker: I<3 Uptown. Great idea, isn’t it?!
Uptown was always best Chicago entertainment area. Charlie Chaplin was making his silent movies there. Uptown Theatre, Riviera, Aragon are still there. A lot of multicultural restaurants almost on every corner – also still there. So many reason to love this piece of Chicago. So let see how it looks. First attempt with my photos. Peter’s I will link a little bit later.
You can download this LOGO HERE (pdf and jpg files). enjoy! :)
I just felt in love in place where I am living :) That wasn’t a long walk. Just walking around and taking some pictures with phone – because I want to remember this day and this walk. Like every other in Uptown.
Almost all last Saturday I’ve been working on a logo. Nothing new. That was logo for my husband’s project (PeterSerocki.com). It is always difficult to work on logo and I always want to create something 100% beautiful, well designed, creative, simple, with this great idea converted from my head to computer…. not so easy, sometimes :)
The idea for this logo was simple – 2 colors – 2 shadows of grey and one small colored accent. It is logo for project with pictures, so I choose a small camera icon. Color for this icon? RED :) red is always good visible! (like yellow!)
So, let’s start with the ideas. Here they are:
First – I like first three…. but Peter prefered the round two…. but he said: “maybe something without these frames?”
so we try and that’s the FINAL:
and I really like this. More about this project you will find soon at Peter’s website: PeterSerocki.com
If you would like to let me create your logo – I have package for you:
